On August 16th, 2022, it was revealed that the campaign would release on October 20th, 2022. On June 8th, 2022, the World Gameplay Reveal trailer was released. On May 24th, 2022, a new trailer called "Artwork Reveal" was released and announced the release date for October 28th, 2022. On April 28th, 2022, Infinity Ward revealed the logo and officially announced that the name of the game would be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.
